The FACT Project

The FACT Project is a major ISC Community Project which will provide free match tickets to Carrick Rangers home matches to those in the Carrickfergus community who may face financial, health, time or logistical difficulties. It is recognised that these sorts of difficulties can prevent people from experiencing the excitement, passion and potential social interaction that attending a live game can bring.

Through the FACT Project we hope to enable these individuals, families or groups to attend Taylors Avenue and enjoy a game watching Carrick Rangers where they otherwise may be unable to do so.

The FACT Project will run alongside the already established and successful “Carrick Cares” Project run by Joe Chapman, and hopefully build upon the great work he has, and continues to do.

So how will this work?

In its simplest terms anyone can donate any sum of money via this website, and that money will be placed into the FACT Project Fund. The Project Fund has initially been started through the generosity of ISC Competitions prize winners who have donated their prize money directly back to this Project.

We will then liaise with individuals and organisations in Carrickfergus who have unique local knowledge of deserving people or causes. They will recommend to us the number and type of tickets required to let individuals, families or groups attend a particular game and we will then use the Project Fund to purchase tickets from Carrick Rangers FC. These will then be available for those nominated to use.

The greater the size of the Project fund, the more people we can help. So please think about donating and helping others in the wider Carrickfergus community.

How do i donate and how much?

Donating is really simple, just click the DONATE button and complete the details in the link provided, job done.

How much is up to you, there is no pressure or expectation upon you. Every single pound, dollar, euro etc donated will go into the Project fund to be used for tickets.

You can donate as much as you want, as often as you want simply by hitting the DONATE button.

How do i know where my money has gone?

Due to the sensitivities of this form of endeavour we will not be publishing any names or other details of recipients nor exactly where each individuals money has been used. We will however publish articles where we can, with the agreement of those receiving tickets, to highlight some of those areas who have benefitted from the fund.

Additionally, we DO commit to publishing details of the number of tickets purchased and used through the scheme on a twice season basis. This will hopefully give those donating the confidence that whilst they may not know exactly who benefitted from their specific donation, they will know the types of people and groups who have benefitted.

I am not a 12th Ranger member, can i still donate?

Absolutely. Whilst The 12th Ranger will be co-ordinating this community project anyone can donate.

That said why not consider becoming a member for the other benefits and opportunities it brings.
